I have attached a beautiful fall picture to which the rights are not mine, I just wanted a picture to represent the smell of this air freshener.
I am pretty sure there is, at least a simple or even the same recipe that I use to make this but I know that some people may not have seen those, so I'll share the one I make.
I take my smallest pot which is a pint size pot, and I fill about halfway with water which converts into 2 cups. Then I take usually (because I don't want it to be too powerful) 2 cinnamon sticks, if I want it to smell stronger I add in three but never more than that, but again it depends on your preference and the size of your home. (I just really don't like too much cinnamon it makes my nose all stuffy and I generally hate cinnamon but that's neither here nor there.) Then I add in around a tablespoon of whole cloves (if you have clove essential oil like I do, either one would work, I would suggest around 10 drops maybe more depending again on your preference). After that I cut an orange into slices and I usually make them around 1/4 of an inch thick, and I add in around 4 slices (again if you don't have fresh oranges lying around but have Orange Essential oil then I'd suggest adding in around 10 drops of that as well, or you know again, whatever your preference is) and then I just turn it up to get a boil going and then after that I turn it down to low just to simmer slowly and allow all those amazing smells to mix together and make my home smell just so fall like and amazing.
So just to make it a little more easy to follow I will list ingredients, just know that these are my preferences and every person is different, just try it with these and if there is something you want to smell more of just add more or take some away from the others.
2 cups of water
2-3 cinnamon sticks
1 Tbsp whole cloves (10 drops clove EO)
4 slices of orange (10 drops orange EO)
Just play around, I really don't think there would be any way to mess this up, your home and nose has it's on preferences of smell, though if you are sick with a sensitive nose that I usually get during the fall/winter months, I would suggest using half of everything besides the water.
I know this post isn't long but I woke up with swollen tonsils and now I need to sit with my head over some steaming water and drink my peppermint tea to soothe my throat.
Peace and Love
